EATING DISORDERS

 
  • ANAD support groups and options to request for a recovery mentor and access to their treatment directory and referral services

  • NEDA support groups and additional free to low cost support

  • EDA (Eating Disorders Anonymous) provides a safe space for those affected by eating disorders share their experiences, support one another, and help one another problem-solve on their journey to recovery. There are no membership fees or due to be a part of the EDA community

  • Project Heal provides guidance and resources for accessible eating disorder recovery care options

  • F.E.A.S.T. international organization providing support, education, and resources to parents and caregivers of loved ones affected by eating disorders

  • Center of Discovery provides treatment and support options for those affected by eating disorders aged 25 and over. Serves 15 states, so please check their website to see if your state is listed!

  • ASDAH Non-profit Association for Size Diversity and Health

  • Nalgona Positivity Pride is an in-community eating disorder and body-positive organization dedicated to creating visibility and resources for Black, Indigenous, and communities of color (BICC.)

  • ‘DO NOT WEIGH ME’ cards for patients and clients who wish to decline being weighed by providers unless medically necessary (US and International cards are available)

  • BEAM (Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective) a national organization dedicated to the healing, wellness, liberation of Black and marginalized communities through trainings, programs, and wellness tools

  • The Loveland Foundation contributes to the empowerment and liberation of healing for black women and girls via fellowships, residency programs, listening tours, and more

  • Therapy for Black Girls an online space dedicated to the mental wellness of Black women and girls. Provides directory for finding a black therapist, podcast, blog, and more

  • Therapy for Black Men an online space providing where black men directories for finding a therapist, mental wellness coaching, blogs, stories, and additional resources

  • Melanin & Mental Health an online directory and resource for connecting Black and Latinx communities to culturally identifiable and competent clinicians for mental health and wellness

  • Black Men Heal provides access to mental health care and resources for men of color

  • Ourselves Black a biannual resource magazine discussing Black mental health and provides resources for black mental health care and awareness

  • California Black Women’s Health Project a nonprofit that works to train, inform, advocate, and assist others on Black women’s health issues while aiming to eliminate the disparities that effect Black women’s health

  • Psyches of Color, Inc. a nonprofit centered on decreasing the stigma of mental health in Black and Latinx communities using strength-based, culturally relevant, and trauma-informed approaches through a transformative justice lens

  • Indian Health Service an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services committed to providing federal health services to Alaskan Natives and American Indians

  • CMS | Division of Tribal Affairs Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services collaborates with the Indian Health Service to provide timely, quality, and appropriate access to care as well as outreach and education
